Part 1

Mike Pearson checks in with Nutrien’s Kyle Huvar who reports on how his crop turned out after a visit from Hurricane Beryl in Coastal South Texas. In the markets segment Mike talks with Mike Zuzolo, Global Commodity Analytics, they are trying to figure out if the lows are in.

Part 2

Mike Zuzolo, Global Commodity Analytics, rejoins Mike to continue discussing markets with a focus on factors in the soybean and livestock markets. Following that, Greg Soulje is on for this week’s weather forecast.

Part 3

Next, Mike chats with Eric Scherder, U.S. Crop Protection Leader, Corteva, about their innovations with Enlist corn and soybean genetics. He also talks with Pioneer’s Ryan Clayton about Z Series Soybeans successes. Alex Harrell recently broke his own soybean yield record with these large soybean seeds, he gives Mike the details.

Part 4

Mike Newland, Propane Education and Research Council, joins our Mike to discuss using soil steam technology to sterilize fields, specifically for organics, but has broader viability as well.

Part 5

Agricultural Meteorologist Greg Soulje returns to take a look at the long-range weather picture. In the Farm Progress roundup segment, Mike chats with new Farm Futures Market Analyst Bruce Blythe about his background and what’s going on in the markets.

Part 6

In Max’s Tractor Shed, Max shows off a 1938 Minneapolis Molin UDLX owned by the Sandberg family in Gering, NE. This tractor has a stylish look. In the FFA Chapter Tribute segment, Mike talks with Jacob Rudy, Kentucky State FFA Treasurer. He’s from Owensboro, where he grew up on a multi-generation grain farm. He was inspired to serve in FFA leadership after watching the leaders who served before him. In the Colby Ag Tech segment, Chad Colby is at Farm Progress Show where he visits with New Holland’s Ryan Schaefer about their new CR combine, celebrating the 50th anniversary of that line.

In the BASF Plan Smart Grow Smart segment, Max Armstrong visits with Ted Jacobs of Rock Falls, Ill. They discuss farming in Illinois and the successes they’ve had using BASF products to control waterhemp.
