Part 1

Mike Pearson kicks off the show talking soil health and clean soil for planting with Kelsey McGee, Crop Consultant, Nutrien. In the markets segment Dave Weaber, Animal Protein Economist, Terrain, talks cattle markets and crops planting plans.

Part 2

Dave Weaber, Animal Protein Economist, Terrain, rejoins Mike to talk market demand for animal proteins. Following that, Greg Soulje is on for this week’s weather forecast.

Part 3

Mike is taking a look at the apple industry with Jim Bair, President and CEO, U.S. Apple Association.

Part 4

Mike checks in on biodiesel as a solution for heavy fleets. Scott Fenwick of the Clean Fuels Alliance America tells us about growing demand for E-100.

Part 5

Agricultural Meteorologist Greg Soulje returns to take a look at the long-range weather picture. In the Farm Progress roundup segment, Mike chats with Andy Castillo, Technology and Equipment Editor with Farm Progress about recent patent litigation and the fallout that affects farmers for the better.

Part 6

In Max’s Tractor Shed, Max shows off a 1949 Case VAC that was refurbished by an FFA club in Forreston, Illinois. In the FFA Chapter Tribute segment, Max talks with Harrison Falborn, Colorado State FFA Executive Committee. He has a strong agriculture background and is carrying on a family legacy. He is attending Colorado State University to start a career in agriculture. In the Colby Ag Tech segment, Chad Colby is looking at the new iPad, which is due out in the very near future.

Part 7

Mike introduces Patrick Hagerty’s interview with Rep. G.T. Thompson, to get the latest on the status of the Farm Bill, which he expects to arrive by Memorial Day.
