Mike Pearson talks with Gavin Rhode, the Missouri State FFA Secretary.. Rhode has a history in the beef business. He's the fifth generation on both sides of his family to be in the beef business.
He loves the beef business. His family not only shows cattle but sells freezer beef as well. Rhode loves meeting producers and showing the cattle in local, state and national shows.
HIs family runs a seedstock business for registered Angus and Hereford cattle.
Rhode talks about his involvement in showing cattle and leading his FFA chapter. He loves to have a leadership position and impact other young farmers. Plus, he is following in his family's footsteps. His mom served as the Missouri State FFA Secretary and he comes from a long line of FFA members including his brother and father.
In the future, Rhode wants to work in the ruminant nutrition or animal nutrition industry and loves producing the best quality cattle he can.
His goals for the future includes growing and developing in the beef business.
Rhode would like to have a leadership position in the industry in the future.
